As an undergraduate, I studied physics, but over time I grew passionate about the biological sciences and decided to focus on biochemistry and molecular biology. That initial interest in physics never subsided, however, and led me to consider research that fundamentally involves the interface of the two fields. Now, I study protein biochemistry use biophysical techniques like Cryo-electron microscopy in order to understand protein structure and its underlying function. I chose to pursue my studies at GSK because of the incredible faculty members and staff who are committed to helping you pursue your long-term goals. Whether it is through mentorship in the lab, or career advice in a seminar, I always feel like I have access to the resources I need to become successful once my time as a student comes to a close.
