The annual Pharmacology Graduate Program Retreat is held each spring outside of New York City and features talks by 3rd and 5th year students and a poster session for other students and postdocs. The 2009 retreat on May 1-2 was again held at the Skytop Lodge & Resort in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. Members of the Tan Lab presented their chemical biology research on diversity-oriented synthesis and rational drug design. The scientific meeting was complemented by a wide range of activities, including a fierce Tan lab doubles ping pong match that went late into the night!
