Zeda did his undergraduate research with Xiaodong Wang at National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS) to study molecular mechanisms of programmed cell death. He then came to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and did received his doctoral training with Charles Sawyers. During his PhD, he used patient-oriented approaches and elucidated new mechanisms of antiandrogen resistance in prostate cancer. In the Lowe lab, Zeda is using quantitative proteomics approaches to investigate the role of cell surface remodeling in hepatobiliary cancer and fibrosis. Outside the lab, Zeda is a big fan of skiing, cycling and marathon running.
