On October 6, 2011, Gerstner Sloan Kettering sponsored Frontiers of Science, a daylong symposium for undergraduates and their faculty advisors to meet Gerstner Sloan Kettering leaders and graduate students while enjoying faculty talks, student posters, and a visit to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center research facilities. The symposium included talks by Gerstner Sloan Kettering Dean Ken Marians, molecular biologist Iestyn Whitehouse, computational biologist Christina Leslie, Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program Chair Charles Sawyers, and Memorial Sloan Kettering President Craig Thompson.
