I am originally from the Philippines, where I studied chemistry and conducted clinical research work as an undergraduate. I decided to pursue my graduate studies at Gerstner Sloan Kettering because it offers a mind-blowing range of research topics, access to thought leaders in many different fields, and an amazing opportunity to live and learn in New York City.
My mentor’s lab features an interdisciplinary group that combines chemical biology approaches with various imaging modalities to study immunobiology through a distinctly biophysical lens. Thankfully, even when my experiments do not work out, every day in the lab is interesting and exciting.
I have learned so much from my experience at Gerstner Sloan Kettering and appreciate being part of this tight-knit research community.
