I’ve been interested in understanding disease processes since before I started high school. I spent two years as an undergraduate at the University of California, San Francisco, exploring the world of high-risk pediatric leukemia. While I eventually want to return to translationally focused research, I am now using my time at Gerstner Sloan Kettering to better understand the protein biology, biochemistry, and cell biology underlying normal cell function.

I chose Gerstner Sloan Kettering because it would allow me to pursue basic biological questions in my mentor’s research lab while staying abreast of cutting-edge developments in the world of oncology. As I explored my interests during the first year of the graduate program, I found a home in the Structural Biology Program. I am now learning from some of the best scientists in the country. I can develop my diverse scientific interests both within the lab and in the clinic through the clinical mentorship program.
