Breanna Williams is originally from Nassau, Bahamas. Being a first-generation college student she received her bachelor’s from St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill, NY in 2020. She then went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Biology at New York University and graduated in December 2022. Through the completion of her master’s thesis which focused on exploring the role of long non-coding RNAs in THP1 differentiation using CRISPR technology, Breanna discovered a newfound interest in gene editing and human development. This coupled with her passion and extensive experience in patient care, she envisions a career as a physician-scientist. During her time at the Huangfu lab she hopes to continue to explore powerful gene editing tools and gain knowledgeable experience to achieve her goals.
