There are currently open positions in the Studer lab for working on cell based therapy approaches for Hirschsprung’s disease (based on Fattahi et al., Nature 2016) and on developing next generation cell therapies for Parkinson’s disease (building on Kriks et al., Nature 2011, Kim et al., Cell Stem Cell 2021). Expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture and directed differentiation approaches and / or in stereotactic surgery, transplantation and advanced imaging approaches will be of particular advantage for those positions. In addition, we are also currently looking for individuals interested in joining our efforts of using human PSC-based models to study host virus interactions in the nervous system (see Harschnitz & Studer, Nature Rev Immunol 2021).
