I am a practicing anesthesiologist with a research interest in improving the understanding of how anesthetics and analgesics can be applied for the care of cancer patients. My current focus is in the development of methods and tools to apply to the study of the opioid system, to develop novel analgesics and to improve our understanding of how the opioid system modulates hematopoietic cells.
