I was born and raised in Spain, and speak fluent Spanish, French and Italian. I earned my medical degree from Salamanca University, one of the oldest universities in Europe. During medical school, I spent a year at the Université de Caen, in Normandy, France. After a medicine internship at Hospital Puerta del Mar, in Cadiz, Spain, I completed my Radiology residency at Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid. I obtained my PhD at Complutense University of Madrid with a thesis on the use of DCE perfusion MRI in the assessment of brain and spine tumors. I joined the Radiology department at Memorial Sloan Kettering as a Neuroradiology research fellow before starting my nuclear medicine residency program. My clinical expertise is in Clinical Expertise: PET/CT, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray.
