All our dietitians are registered dietitian-nutritionists (RDNs) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CDR) and/or have earned certified dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) credentials from the New York State Education Department, part of the University of the State of New York. Most of our dietitians have advanced degrees in nutrition, and some have certifications in specialties such as oncology nutrition, diabetes care and education, obesity and weight management, and clinical nutrition support.

Barbara Isaacs Jordan

Barbara Isaacs Jordan, MS, RDN, CDN
Clinical Nutrition Manager

I direct all aspects of our clinical nutrition program, including inpatient and ambulatory services, and oversee our nutrition research efforts. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2008 and I am proud to have such excellent clinical dietitian-nutritionists on my team, all experts in oncology nutrition. Through the continual growth of our nutrition services, we have developed nutrition programs and resources to best meet the needs of our patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. I received a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from SUNY Oneonta. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Christina Stella

Christina Stella, MS, RDN, CDCES, CSO, CDN
Senior Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist

As a senior clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people with cancer in the ambulatory setting. I also assist in clinical nutrition management with a focus on the operations of both inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition programs. Having joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2012, I have a particular interest in the nutritional management of surgical oncology patients and patients diagnosed with metabolic diseases, specifically diabetes. I earned a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in health promotion from American University. I am a certified specialist in diabetes care and education (CDCES) accredited by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education, a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.

Peter A. Adintori

Peter A. Adintori, MS, RDN, CSO, CNSC, CDN

As a level III research clinical dietitian nutritionist, I support people with a variety of blood cancers and other blood-related diseases in the Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Service. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in April 2019, and I’m especially interested in the impact of dietary choices on the gastrointestinal microbiome, interdisciplinary rehabilitation research, and evidence-based clinical care. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in rehabilitation sciences at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. I have a master’s in nutrition and exercise physiology from Teacher’s College, Columbia University, and a bachelor’s in exercise science from the University of Connecticut. I am a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC) through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Cara Anselmo

Cara Anselmo, MS, RDN, CSOWM, CDN

I am a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works with people with cancer in the ambulatory setting. In 2007, I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where I specialize in breast cancer nutrition and am involved in nutrition programming at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in clinical nutrition and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brown University. I am both a certified specialist in obesity and weight management (CSOWM) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Melanie Cardoso

Melanie Cardoso, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, and I work with patients who have cancer in the outpatient setting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Bergen (New Jersey). Having joined MSK in 2009, I maintain a special interest in counseling patients on managing their nutrition during treatment, but also in keeping a healthy diet as part of their lifestyle after treatment. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in dietetics. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Francesca Castro

Francesca Castro, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level III Clinical Research Dietitian Nutritionist, and I work in the Myeloma Service with a focus on whole food, plant-based diet interventions. I have special interest in the impact of dietary choices on both cancer prevention and progression, gastrointestinal microbiome, and evidence-based clinical care. I completed my Master of Science Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at Teachers College, Columbia University, and my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science at the University of Central Florida. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission of Dietetics Registration (CDR), and I am a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist within the state of New York. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in December 2021.


Génesis Codoni De Juan

Génesis Codoni De Juan, MS, RDN, CDN

In my role as a level I, bilingual, clinical dietitian nutritionist, I aim to provide the best nutrition care and support people with cancer from different backgrounds, nationalities, and ages in the inpatient setting. It is my desire that nutrition education and resources can be accessible to everyone. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in October 2022, and I have a special interest in the impact of lifestyle and nutrition on gastrointestinal disorders and diseases, including gastrointestinal cancers. I earned a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Tara Duggan

Tara Duggan, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I provide nutrition care to individuals with cancers across all disease types, in the inpatient and ambulatory setting. I have a particular interest in the nutrition care of surgical oncology patients. I received my Master of Science in nutrition through the College of Saint Elizabeth. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Austin Fernandez

Austin Fernandez, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II Clinical Dietitian Nutritionist, and I currently work with adult genitourinary, renal, and solid tumor patients. I am passionate about treating patients as a whole and personalizing interventions that meet individual patients’ needs. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University. I am also a student at the master’s level in Healthcare Administration at the New York University Wagner School of Public Service. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission of Dietetics Registration (CDR) and a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist within the state of New York. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2022.


Meghan Garrity

Meghan Garrity, MS, RDN, CSO, CSOWM, CDN

In my role as a level IV clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people who have cancer in the outpatient radiation oncology setting. I started my career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2015, and I specialize in managing the nutritional-support needs of ambulatory patients. My particular interest is in helping people who are undergoing radiation therapy for head and neck cancers, in addition to cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, especially pancreatic cancers. My master’s degree is in clinical nutrition from New York University. I am a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO), a certified specialist in obesity and weight management (CSOWM), and a registered dietitian-nutritionist—all through the CDR. I am also a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Janet Gibbons

Janet Gibbons, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

In my role as a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people with cancer who are admitted to the leukemia and lymphoma services in the inpatient setting. Having joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2003, I have a particular interest in managing symptoms effectively for patients undergoing treatment. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in clinical nutrition, and I earned a Bachelor of Arts in food and nutrition from Brooklyn College. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Karla Giboyeaux

Karla Giboyeaux, MA, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist at the MSK Ralph Lauren Center in Harlem. As a nutritionist working in the cancer treatment and prevention community setting, I support people with cancer who are receiving various types of cancer therapies and those who are interested in improving their eating habits and food choices. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2020, where I apply my strong interest and background in the culinary arts, and my ability to speak fluent Spanish, to help patients modify their favorite meals and cook healthier meals at home. Through the Ralph Lauren Center, I also host a monthly virtual cooking demonstration called Cooking with Karla. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Arts in nutrition, food studies, and public health, and I earned my Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Erin Gilfillan

Erin Gilfillan, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works primarily with children with cancer in the MSK Kids ambulatory setting. Since joining Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2018, my focus has been on pediatric nutrition support and optimizing food intake for children, especially those with selective appetites and other feeding behaviors. I received my master’s degree in nutrition education from Columbia University and my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Providence College. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Jody Gilman

Jody Gilman, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works with people with cancer in the outpatient setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2009, where my areas of interest include nutrition and health behavior modifications as they relate to cancer, patient survival, and overall improved quality of life. I earned a Master of Science in nutrition from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Zach Gossman

Zach Gossman, MS, RDN, CDN

In my role as a clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with adults who receive blood and bone marrow transplants in the inpatient setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2019. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in dietetics and clinical nutrition, and I earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Washington University in Saint Louis. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Alicia Gould

Alicia Gould, MS, RDN, CDN

As a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work to support people with cancer in the outpatient setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in May 2018, and I have a particular interest in wellness and weight management. I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Master of Science in nutrition and hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from The George Washington University. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Kate Hoffman

Kate Hoffman, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist who provides nutrition care for people with a variety of blood cancers and other blood-related diseases in the Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Service. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in January 2020, and I have a particular interest in the relationship between nutrition and symptom management and using nutrition to optimize patient outcomes. I received a Master of Science in nutrition and exercise physiology from Long Island University’s Post campus and a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the University of Maryland. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Shannon Hopkins

Shannon Hopkins, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, and I work with people with cancer in the colorectal, gastric and mixed tumor, and hepatobiliary inpatient settings. My career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center began in June 2021, where I have a particular interest in gastrointestinal health and nutrition. I am part of a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and dietitians that cares for people who have undergone surgery for gastric cancer. I completed my master’s degree in nutrition at Stonybrook University and my bachelor’s degree in nutrition at SUNY Oneonta. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Hannah Husby

Hannah Husby, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist working primarily with children with cancer in the MSK Kids inpatient and pediatric Intensive Care Units. In 2017, I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I am particularly interested in the role of nutrition during bone marrow transplant. I received my master’s degree in clinical nutrition and my bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food studies from New York University. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Laura Kelly

Laura Kelly, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works with people with cancer in the Long Island regional outpatient setting. My career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center began in 2007, and I have a particular interest in the nutrition care of patients with head and neck cancers, as well as the human microbiome. I have a master’s degree in human nutrition from the University of New Haven and bachelor’s degrees in psychology from Sacred Heart University and nutrition from Long Island University’s Post campus. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Erin Kenny

Erin Kenny, DCN, RDN, CSO

I am a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works with people with cancer in the outpatient setting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Basking Ridge (New Jersey). Since joining MSK in 2015, I have developed a particular interest in gastrointestinal, head, and neck cancer, as well as malnutrition in people with cancer. I earned a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in dietetics at the University of Delaware. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR.


Christina Kim

Christina Kim, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist, and my primary coverage is with neurology, neurosurgery, and solid tumor patients in the inpatient setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2011 and my nutrition interests include early identification of malnutrition and the effects of nutrition on brain cancer. I graduated from New York University with Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in clinical nutrition. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Deanna LaGreca

Deanna LaGreca, MS, RDN, CNSC, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist who works with people with cancer on the Intensive Care Unit in the inpatient setting. Since joining Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in February 2020, I have had a particular interest in nutrition support and critical care. I obtained my Master of Science in nutrition and exercise sciences from CUNY Queens College and my Bachelor of Science in dietetics from SUNY Oneonta. I am a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC) through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Elissa Meditz

Elissa Meditz, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

As a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people with cancer who require medical and surgical services in the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion ambulatory setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in December 2017, and I have a particular interest in the nutritional care of patients with pancreatic and gastrointestinal malignancies, as well as in the older adult population. I am a participating member of MSK’s Cancer and Aging Interprofessional Team and earned a Master of Science in nutrition and dietetics from SUNY Oneonta. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Michelle Myers

Michelle Myers, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

In my role as a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I provide nutrition care to people with ambulatory needs at Manhattan-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center sites. I joined MSK in June 2015, and I am passionate about educating people with cancer and their families on the importance of nutrition during their journey through all phases of cancer treatment. I received my Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University and my Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Amy Rod

Amy Rod, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist who supports people with cancer on all inpatient units. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in January 2019 and my particular interest is in head and neck cancer and nutrition research. I earned my master’s degree in nutrition from Bastyr University after graduating from Luther College with a bachelor’s degree in biology. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Lianne Russo

Lianne Russo, MS, RDN, CDN

As a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people with cancer in the ambulatory setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1993, where I’ve gained extensive experience in nutrition research both within our Clinical Nutrition Therapy Services team as well as the Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Service. My particular interest lies in the nutrition care of patients with gastrointestinal diseases and quality improvement. I earned my Master of Science in nutrition and dietetics at New York University. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Erica Salehi

Erica Salehi, MS, RDN, CDN

As a level III research clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I support people with cancer in the Breast Medicine Service. I began my clinical research career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2014, and later advanced my career as a clinical dietitian-nutritionist. My role involves working with multidisciplinary teams of specialists to investigate how various dietary interventions, such as plant-based and ketogenic diets, may impact breast cancer outcomes. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in clinical nutrition and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and pre-medicine at the University of Michigan. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Anita Sarin

Anita Sarin, MS, RDN, CDN

In my role as a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I work with people with cancer in the inpatient setting. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2021 and I have a passion for optimizing patient care through diet and nutrition. My primary area of coverage is gastrointestinal oncology and my interests include nutrition support and symptom management for patients undergoing active anti-cancer treatment. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master of Science in nutrition and a Bachelor of Arts in applied psychology. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Andrea Schaeffer

Andrea Schaeffer, RDN, CSO, CSOWM, CDN

As a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, I provide therapy services to people with cancer in the outpatient setting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Nassau. I joined MSK in 1993, and I’ve developed a special interest in understanding how nutrition can lower the risk of cancer. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in animal science. I am a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO), a certified specialist in obesity and weight management (CSOWM), and a registered dietitian-nutritionist—all through the CDR. I am also a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Katie Urban

Katie Urban, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I provide inpatient and outpatient nutrition services to people who are receiving chemotherapy infusion and radiation treatment across all cancer specialties. In 2019, I joined MSK, where I can develop my interest in nutrition therapy and connect it to my culinary arts background. I earned my master’s in clinical nutrition and exercise physiology from Columbia University Teachers College and my bachelor’s in culinary nutrition from Johnson & Wales University — all while working as a cook at various New York City restaurants. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Elizabeth Velazquez

Elizabeth Velazquez, MS, CDN

I am a clinical dietitian-nutritionist, and I provide inpatient nutrition care to people within our gynecological medicine, gynecological surgery, and breast medicine services. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1989, and I am a member of the equality and diversity group that helps to diversify the dietitian team and other workforces at MSK. My Master of Science is in nutrition, food studies, and clinical nutrition from New York University and my Bachelor of Science is in home economics from Hunter College. I am a certified dietitian-nutritionist in the state of New York.


Valaree Williams

Valaree Williams, MS, RDN, CSO, CNSC, FAND

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist working with people with cancer in the outpatient setting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Monmouth in New Jersey. I joined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in January 2023. My interests include gastrointestinal cancers and the impacts of cancer treatment on the gastrointestinal tract.  I received my Master of Science in health science from Chatham University and my Bachelor of Science in dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) through the CDR and a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC) through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification.


Jayne Wiprovnick

Jayne Wiprovnick, MS, RDN, CDN

I am a level II clinical dietitian-nutritionist, and I work with people with head and neck cancers in both surgical and medical inpatient settings. My career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center began in 1991, and my expertise is in enteral (tube-feeding) nutrition support. I completed my Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in nutrition and dietetics from Brooklyn College. I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist with the CDR and a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.


Cynthia Wong

Cynthia Wong, MS, RDN, CSO, CDN

In my role as a level III clinical dietitian-nutritionist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Nassau, I work with people with cancer across all disease types. I joined MSK in 2011 and am keenly interested in helping patients optimize their nutrition status and find foods that they can enjoy during treatment. I also counsel patients on how to achieve optimal health after they complete treatment. I graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in clinical nutrition. I am both a certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and a registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, as well as a certified dietitian-nutritionist in New York state.
