We are seeking a Research Technician, Sr. to provide laboratory support for the Massagué Laboratory in the Cancer Biology and Genetics Program. In this role, the candidate works on laboratory experiments/projects. Normally receives detailed instructions while making observations, analyzing data and interpreting results according to laboratory procedures. The Research Technician, Sr. will provide support to research staff in the lab. May assist in developing new methods and technologies for project advancement and participate in lab meetings and preparation of research papers. Developing Technician applies laboratory policies and procedures to resolve a variety of routine issues with greater independence. |

Application Requirements
Performs research activities in collaboration with internal/external personnel to complete science-based projects. Works on laboratory experiments/projects of moderate scope to resolve a variety of issues. Normally receives general instructions while making detailed observations, analyzing data and interpreting results according to laboratory procedures. Responsible for mentoring junior lab members. The Senior Research Technician may assist in developing new methods and technologies for project advancement, and participate in scientific journals.
Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
Minimum 2-year commitment.
