Phil earned his BA at Northwestern University and a PhD in Cellular & Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Phil is researching how prostate cancer cells advance from androgen dependence to a hormone refractory state. He has developed a large panel of unique hormone refractory prostate cancer cell lines for this research and is actively pursuing molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression.
