I had a very good time here at Sloan-Kettering, and I've learned a huge amount of things in the lab. It has been a time of intellectual growth for me, and I feel the difference that these ten weeks have made on my scientific skills. I liked meeting the SURPees and spending time with them. Actually, I think that a few will continue to be very close friends, and I'll try to keep in touch with everybody. This summer was such a bonding experience for us, and I've enjoyed it.

Even though it was only ten weeks, I feel like I've grown as a scientist -- I've learned so much, and I feel more confident working independently than I did at the beginning of the summer. Gerstner Sloan-Kettering really takes good care of its summer students. And it was a great opportunity to make friendships that will last a long time.
I've had an incredible experience as a participant in SURP this summer -- it stands out in my mind as one of the most important summers of my life. I've learned not only a tremendous amount about science, but also a tremendous amount about myself. I greatly appreciate being given the opportunity to take part in such a vibrant research community.

My summer here at GSK has been the best summer of my life. Not only was I enriched academically, but I also had a blast outside the lab in NYC. The faculty here is very intelligent and prominent in their area of research, making Sloan-Kettering a great place to pursue research in any kind of field. My mentor was incredible as well, allowing me to think outside the box and aiding me in tackling scientific problems on my own.
Thank you guys for everything -- for allowing me to have the best ten weeks of my life. Hopefully, I will get a chance to see you all soon!

The quality of fellow students is unparalleled, and it is a great way to meet new people and build relationships and contacts across the country. Academically, this experience could not be better as I have become a much better scientist and have a better appreciation for synthetic chemistry now that I have worked with Dr. Gin.
I would highly recommend this program to any student interested in a career in biomedical sciences, as it not only improves one's thinking as a scientist, but is also an opportunity to network with highly distinguished faculty members and build relationships with fellow students.

The GSK SURP made me much more comfortable with my decision to pursue scientific research and made me much more confident in the lab. The environment at Sloan-Kettering is ideal for doing research and the people I met in the SURP have become good friends of mine. I am very happy with the experience.

Absolutely amazing! I have learned so much from my research experience. The grad student I worked with was extremely enthusiastic and taught me how a little imagination can go a long way in science. Also, my time in New York City has been undeniably memorable. I hate to leave not only the city, but also the friends I have made in the program.
